Cross Docking
In addition to the services listed above, CellXion also offers a Cross Docking Program. This program is a sound strategy that reduces storage, handling and transportation costs while increasing customer
service. It allows you to bulk ship to a distribution center strategically located near your population. Once the shipment arrives, it is separated into multiple shipments and then each shipment is delivered
to its final destination. This program also offers a variety of value added services such as kitting, labeling and repacking.
High Priority (HP) Shipments
Well aware that not every shipment goes smoothly, our Transportation Department also has experience working with high priority (HP) shipments. These are shipments that are moving via truck or rail that need
special care on short notice. HP shipments are typically caused by the following:
- Weather that does not permit delivery
- Redirected shipments due to demand
- Manufacturer loading (product or weight) errors
- Customer not able to receive the shipment
- Requirement changes such as direct delivery or cross docking requirements
